Sense and Sensibility

Sense and Sensibility at Lucie Stern Theatre

Why see Sense and Sensibility?

Don't Miss Sense and Sensibility the Musical

Celebrating its 50th season in 2019, Theatreworks now boldly moves into the future under the guidance of brand new Artistic Director Tim Bond following the retirement of founder and driving force Robert Kelley. Bond flies the troupe's flag ever higher during a diverse, multi-cultural and innovative 2020/21 program of works old and new at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre.

The company transports audiences back to a time of eloquence, elegance and deliciously charming romance during Pride and Prejudice. Brought to vivid life by Tony-nominated composer Paul Gordon, the joyous musical is bursting with beauteous melodies, and of course, Austen's immortal tale of the Dashwood sisters. When their fortunes are changed by their father's untimely passing, their quest to find a suitable match sparks a whirlwind of intrigue and humor.
